Based in London, we operate nationwide and are the UK's first & foremost "crossover" quartet we are equally at home playing Bach, Mozart, Snow Patrol or Led Zepplin. In Brief

Founded in 1989, Status Cymbal was originally a string quartet comprised of the 4 principal string players of the Scarborough Spa Orchestra. Due to increasing demand, the Quartet relocated to London in the early 1990's where it quickly established itself at the very forefront of corporate & private entertainment. We are a string quartet for hire offering the widest & most varied repertoire which is constantly being expanded & updated to reflect the latest trends in popular music.

Weddings

Status Cymbal has to date performed at over 1,350 weddings in some of the most prestigious venues in the UK & abroad. As well as being a wedding string quartet for hire who can offer a complete playlist of the most oft-chosen songs for this type of event, in the unlikely case that we don't have your favourite song it can be specially arranged for the ocassion.

Recitals

A STATUS CYMBAL recital is a unique occasion. A traditional-style first half, presented in formal concert attire contains works by the classical masters. During the interval the quartet slip into something a little more comfortable and encourage their audience to sit back and listen to music in a lighter vein. (A full classical recital is also available if required.)
