Review

The Horsham Music Circle promised us a string quartet with a difference on Saturday evening and that is what we got! In the first half of the concert the Schubert Quartettsatz held a true Schubertian mood throughout (not easy with so much fast playing involved). Borodin's popular Quartet No 2 delighted the audience. After the interval we were given 'The 20th Century in Popular Song'...foot-tapping renditions...brought to an end with Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody...first-class musicians gave us an evening of great pleasure and diversity.
